Zakynthos, the most southerly of the Ionian chain off the coast of the Peleponnese.
Psarou, is in the northeast of the island and is about a 10km, or
25 minute drive, from the airport. It is positioned in a small
hamlet close to the sea, and near the hilltop village of Meso
GerakariojL Situated in a quiet and undeveloped part of the island
it is perfect for those wishing to have a holiday away from the noise of the main
tourist areas whilst also being equidistant between the resorts of Tsilivi/Planos
and Alikes/Alikanas. Both these resorts are about a 10 minute drive away and
younger members of any group will find more than enough bars and discos to
keep them amused for a week or two.
Less than a mile away you will find tavernas, a baker, butcher and well stocked
supermarket. The local "blue flag" beach is less than a two minute drive away and is perfect for small children. It's a small but shallow and sandy beach split into two halves both of which have their own taverna or bar.
